The Senior Appraisal Consultant must attain a four year BA/BS degree, and a minimum of five years of commercial appraisal experience is preferred. The appraiser shall provide commercial real estate valuation services and assist with any client-based special projects as necessary.
The Senior Consultant should maintain and grow their contact database within the local brokerage community and maintain a positive attitude when dealing with clients and fellow employees. He or she should engage in continuing education, contribute valuable information to fellow staff, and stay up to date on current technical issues, and always ready to employ cutting edge solutions with the client.
A Junior Appraisal Consultant is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. The Consultant is no longer under direct supervision and has become skilled in data collection, market analysis, and valuation of new and existing commercial properties, as well as development properties and land jobs. A Junior Appraisal Consultant is able to compare and analyze trends, financial data, sales activity, and market conditions.
A Market Research Consultant gathers and analyzes economic data related to commercial real estate, employment, demographics and governmental statistics. Research and analysis involve different property types located primarily in the United States, and occasionally foreign markets.
A Market Research Consultant should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Management, Economics, or English. He or she should also possess the following skills:
- Technical writing skills
- Ability to interpret data research
- Interpersonal skills
- Multi-Tasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- National and global geographic knowledge
- Know the importance of customer service
